Frequently Asked Questions

Below are the questions that Red Shed get asked on a regular basis.

If you have any further queries that are not answered here, please e-mail or contact us using the online enquiry form.

How far will the band travel?

Red Shed travel all over the UK, and even play gigs abroad.

Will I need to book a disco as well as the band?

The choice is yours! Red Shed can be booked separately or as a complete entertainment package including a DJ. Alternatively, mixed CD's can be played during intervals if that is prefered.

How long do you play for?

Depending on the function Red Shed play either 2 x 45 minute sets or a 1 x 75 minute cabaret show.

Is it possible to come and see you before booking?

Due to the nature of Red Shed’s client base, we don’t play public events very often. However, all of our bookings are listed on our dates page and occasionally we play at clubs and fun pubs, which you are welcome to attend.

Do you have insurance against accidents and damage at venues?

Yes! Red Shed hold public liability insurance up to the value of £5,000,000.

How loud do you play?

We can play as loudly or quietly as you like! Red Shed have played at hundreds of functions over the past seven years and can tailor the volume to the size of the room and number of people.

How do you dress?

Red Shed base their music around an hilarious visual show, so expect a variety of costume changes and tributes!

How much do you charge?

Pricing varies depending on the size of venue, the distance we need to travel, set-up and finish times and the nature of the function. Please e-mail or use our online enquiry form for a personal quote.

Will I need to pay a deposit?

Red Shed usually ask for a small deposit (5-10% of the total fee) on signing of the contract.

Do you supply all your own equipment?

Yes! Red Shed have a state of the art PA and lighting system designed for audiences of up to 1000 people. For larger events Red Shed request/recommend the hiring of suitable PA and lighting equipment tailored to the venue and events needs. (Advice given on request)

Do you have any specific requirements?

Red Shed request a changing room suitable for five persons and a stage/setting up area of at least 5 x 3 metres. Adequate power supplies are also needed; either a minimum of 4-ring mains for indoor events or a generator capable of supplying 52 amps at 240V for outdoor events. (Details available on request)

Where do I get a spiffy new web site just like yours?

A really nice bloke called Paul Hopwood built the entire site from breakfast cereal boxes and double-sided sticky tape. E-mail him for a very reasonable quote for your own requirements! Show someone you care; give them a web site for Christmas…
